Kalo Livadi is one of the longest beaches on Mykonos, on the south-east coast between Elia and Kalafatis. Its name means good meadow, a reminder that the valley behind it was farmland. Today the beach is lined with restaurants and beach bars, there are hotels on the slopes, and villas are spread across the surrounding hills.
Each type of property has its own rhythm. From Marathi the drive to Kalo Livadi runs through Ano Mera and down the valley, avoiding Chora's summer congestion altogether. That makes the trip shorter and more predictable than a run to the west coast.
The bottom of the valley is another matter in high season. Beach parking fills from late morning, and the roads near the sand get crowded with cars and quad bikes. We schedule hotel and restaurant jobs for early morning, and for hillside villas we ask for a location pin and a photo of the drive so we can decide in advance where the truck will stand.
