Agios Ioannis is a small bay on the west coast, just past Ornos, with the island of Delos straight across the water. It is best known for its sunsets, and the hillside behind the beach is lined with villas and hotels built to face them. A little further along the coast is Kapari, a smaller beach with private houses above it.
Very few of these properties are on a sewer. They rely on septic tanks, sealed holding tanks or wastewater treatment units, often with a pool house and guest suites draining to the same system.
